Welcome to the Johnson, Dean, McDaniel, Taylor Family Blog

(This was the original purpose of the blog, since then the purpose has changed.) ๐Ÿ™‚

Hello Family,
I happen to be doing my homework this morning and decided to create a blog for our family. While my homework may not seem related to my family, it actually is. I am writing a paper of Web 2.0 tools. Web 2.0 is a family of world wide web tools that allow the users to contribute to information on the internet. My paper is on Enterprise 2.0 or using these tools in a business. Some of the popular Web 2.0 websites are MySpace.com, Blogger.com, WordPress.com, Del.icio.us, Technorati.com, Digg.com, Flickr.com, and many more. Some of the tools that can be used with these types of websites are feed aggregators such as Bloglines.com or Reader.Google.com or Yahoo!Mail Beta. These feeds aggregators will allow you to subscribe to the website using the site’s RSS feed. My hope in creating this blog is to allow each of the people that subscribes to share anything they want to share with the family. That is anything except for spam, warnings from the police that come in the form of emails, prayer requests that come through forwarded emails, and the like. If you are a teacher, share your latest research; if you are a student, share your papers and your latest research; if you are working in the real world share your accomplishments without violating any disclosure agreements; share an interesting item from the web or an interesting news story. My idea is just for us to share since the only time that we see each other is at funerals, weddings, and during the holidays. I am uploading all of my pictures to Google’s Picassa. As soon as they are posted, I will share them with you for a period of time (I know some of you may not want your picture posted on the internet) to bring back some memories. After that time I will be restricting the access to them.
